Stair Construction

We measured and designed the replacement stairwell that will go straight into the addition, replacing the stairs and landing that leads to the kitchen. We also removed the door and frame and made the opening higher (so no more head bonking.)

The stairs, ready to be assembled, the treads
leaning against the wall to the left, and the
kick plates stacked in the center. The footings
for the steps were already screwed into place.
The assembled stairs, which were later painted.
The bottom side.
Tom removing the head-bonking-low doorway.
