Benjamin found a bag of flour!

Tracy was reading in the living room and heard Ben playing quietly in the kitchen with the measuring cups. After a little while she went to check on him and--as we had just painted the basement white--initially thought he had got into the paint! When she realized it was just flour, she was very relieved, and so took photos.

Basement Painting

This weekend we, along with grandparents and Benjamin, painted the basement addition. We made it all white in this pass, including the ceiling, and the concrete wall. We will repaint the walls another colour in the future.

Stairs Redux

This past weekend we took apart the stairs and rebuilt them to correct the angle of the steps, and bring the top step even with the finished floor of the addition.

Here's the top step, an inch below the addition floor.

Counters continued...

Well, X-mas and New Years have passed. We stopped construction for the holidays, so that we could shop and have a vacation and such. Before the holidays, we installed the counters, so here are the photos of them. We still have to install drawers and make up face plates, but the counter tops were VERY handy when preparing turkey and stuffing and potatoes and so on...
